A couple of blog posts back I wrote about the benefits of a pre-wedding shoot or engagement shoot, and what you can expect to experience. You can see all sorts of individual images from various shoots in that post, but I thought it would be nice to put up a set of images from a single pre-wedding session too, so you can see a bit more clearly what can come out the other end. There are also, by the way, a lot of parrallels between a shoot like this and a portrait session too, so if you’re thinking if treating yourselves to a nice set of photos of you as a couple this should also be nice and relevant to you.
Millie and William are marrying a few months from now at the absolute gem that is Milton Abbey in Dorset. I really can’t wait for this one – it’s going to be spectacular and there are so many nice little touches throughout the day (no spoilers yet though, sorry!). I often aim to have the pre-wedding shoot a month or so before the wedding but really we can do it any time that suits, and Millie and William were keen to make use of an image from the shoot on their official invitation. No problem – they ended up with plenty to choose from.
After considering a few different options for the location of the engagement shoot we met up down at Highcliffe, famous both for the gorgeous castle (a very popular wedding venue too with a beautiful ceremony room) towering at the top of the cliff, and the very lovely sandy(ish) beach – a bit of a rarity in Hampshire – down at the bottom. We had an absolutely perfect evening for it – just look at that light in the beach photos in particular, wow! And as a couple I couldn’t have asked for any more from them; they were absolutely brilliant right from the off, relaxed into it and chatted and laughed all the way through.
So here’s a little selection from the finished set, to give you an idea of the range of set-ups we can create and photos we can take in an hour or so. (Plenty more to view in Millie & William’s online gallery, but friends and family will need to ask them for the password first). Enjoy!
