Beautiful, relaxed and unobtrusive wedding and portrait photography - based in Winchester, Hampshire and covering locations across southern England and London.
Winchester Guildhall wedding photography gives you options – so many options. The huge, iconic building down at the bottom end of town looks like nothing else in Winchester; grand, imposing, splendid… all words you can very easily throw into a description of its exterior, whilst inside you have rooms and spaces to accommodate a ceremony with just a handful of guests right up into the hundreds.
If you’re going big – really big – then the huge central function room, the Bapsy Hall, is the one for you. (If you still manage to run out of space on the ground floor pop some of your guests up in the tiered seating above). Smaller and more intimate occasions could take you to the Mayor’s Parlour (also a large and impressive space for bridal prep) or the lovely Wintonian Room (also great for drinks receptions). But more often than not couples will be drawn to the beautiful wood-panelled King Charles Hall with it’s huge windows and vaulted ceiling. (Top tip if you like a view [and climbing stairs]: check out the Walton Suite’s roof terrace for a vista across to St Giles’ Hill).
And when it comes to Winchester Guildhall wedding photography the ceremony rooms aren’t all that this huge venue can offer. The beautiful Guildhall steps leading up to the front entrance present probably once of the most recognisable confetti shot locations in the city (also great for group photos) and right next to the building are the gorgeous Abbey Gardens. If you are looking for some floral colour as a backdrop to your wedding photographs you definitely don’t have to walk far!
If you do have a few moments to spare for a little walking however, you then have the rest of this beautiful medieval city at your disposal for your couple portraits. Just a couple of minutes’ stroll in any direction will take you to some absolutely gorgeous locations: beautiful little secret gardens, riverside walks, old stone walls, open countryside and water meadows, or a bustling high street (often in full market mode) if you’re after something a little more lively. Winchester Guildhall has without questions got an entire wedding photographer’s playground literally right there on the doorstep.
And if you’ve got guests who perhaps struggle with directions and navigation there’s one last reason to go with Winchester Guildhall as your wedding venue: there’s no way they could miss it.
